Sun and Steel is the first lager in the Trooper range and is one of the most complex beers that Robinsons Brewery have ever produced; a double fermented lager created with authentic Japanese saké yeast. Sun and Steel takes its name from the IRON MAIDEN song of the same name that appears on their 1983 PIECE OF MIND album. It’s a hybrid beer because it’s made with two yeasts – lager yeast and a saké yeast. A delicate, subtle fruit flavor infused into a pilsner-style lager.
Taking its name from the Maiden song inspired by Tennyson’s Charge of the Brigade, Trooper is a premium British beer created by Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons Brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.
This is a limited edition Day of The Dead version of the award-winning TROOPER beer.
The 2021 bottle features a design of IRON MAIDEN’S iconic mascot Eddie, and references the artwork of their 1990 album ‘No Prayer for the Dying’.
The 2022 bottle draws inspiration from the cover artwork of “Stranger in a Strange Land” – the second sing on IRON MAIDEN’s platinum-selling album “Somewhere in Time” (1986)
Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated annually. One of the most popular parts of the holiday is people turning themselves into skeletons, adorning their appearance with flowers and bright colors. As a result the sugar skull has become an icon of the Day of the Dead, for which TROOPER pays homage.
IRON MAIDEN and Robinson’s Brewery bring you FEAR OF THE DARK – a 4.5% ABV English stout that is full bodied and rich in dark roasted chocolate flavor.
Created by BRUCE DICKINSON and Robinsons’ Head Brewer Martyn Weeks, FEAR OF THE DARK is the first stout in the TROOPER beer family and takes its name from IRON MAIDEN’s iconic song and album of the same name.
Named after a song on the IRON MAIDEN album “The Book of Souls,” Red ‘N’ Black is a dark and deceptively delicious porter beer that is made with a blend of chocolate and crystal malts to give the beer a full bodied feel.
The special Robinson’s yeast rounds out the beer with a hint of licorice and honey for a warming and inviting experience. This limited edition beer pays homage to a time when porter beers were gaining in popularity; some would say the earliest days of craft beer.
